[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he popular virtual world for kids known as Poptropica has now made its way to Nintendo 3DS featuring an all-new adventure called Poptropica: Forgotten Islands. The online game gives children a safe environment to create a character and explore the islands of Poptropica while learning and improving their problem-solving skills.
The 3DS title will give players an incredible amount of customization when it comes to designing the look of their avatar as there are over 100 unlockable costumes and accessories. Mini-games can be unlocked after specific quests are completed, giving users more gameplay variety and extending their journey through the mysterious Forgotten Islands of Poptropica.
Characters can travel by blimp or by foot when exploring the game’s individually themed islands and unlocking new gameplay challenges. As the game progresses, players find and collect different artifacts across the group of islands that help explain the origins of Poptropica.
Forgotten Islands is a title that is directed specifically at a young audience of gamers with the primary goal of nurturing literacy in a fun, engaging way. The game was developed for 3DS by Ubisoft, and the entire Poptropica series is owned by Pearson Education, regarded as the world’s leading company in learning.
