Disney announced the new title at Cinema Con last week!
[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]reck-It Ralph was released to theaters back in 2012 and Disney announced that a sequel will be released in 2018. Disney said that Ralph would be breaking the internet instead of video games in the sequel.
The title for the movie is Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2, which explains a good part of the plot, but not all of it. Co-director Rich Moore talked about how the main characters will be entering a bigger world than they were in the first movie.
“To take these characters we love and have them enter the enormous world of the internet has given us so much to explore,” said co-director Rich Moore in a press release. “Our production team has been hard at work designing a world that takes something we all think we know – the internet – but shows it in a whole new, imaginative way.”
With the obvious return of John C. Reilly to play Ralph, Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer) and Sergeant Calhoun (Jane Lynch) will be returning for the sequel.
