Someone might have just gotten fired because of this. RIP.

Did Walmart.com just give E3 the middle finger? No, at least not on purpose that is. But the company has, in what seems like an accident, posted a list of games available for pre-order on their website. By now the company has since taken it down but not before multiple sites like yours truly picked up on the mistake.

Some of the games like Beyond Good and Evil 2, The Last of Us 2, and Super Smash Bros., have already been confirmed, even if the details surrounding them are minuscule. But others, like Just Cause 4Destiny CometRage 2, Gears of War 5, and Splinter Cell were certainly meant to be revealed at this year’s E3. Luckily, some companies like Bethesda responded with the news in stride, even adding in some comedy as well.

You can check out the list of games below.

  • Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
  • Splinter Cell
  • Insurgency: Sandstorm
  • The Last of Us 2
  • Just Cause 4
  • Destiny Comet
  • Final Fantasy 7 Remake
  • Metroid Prime
  • Beyond Good and Evil 2
  • Rage 2
  • Assassin’s Creed
  • NBA 2K19
  • WWE 2K19
  • Dragon Quest 2
  • Super Smash Bros.
  • Borderlands 3
  • Lego DC Villains
  • Dreams
  • Forza Horizon 5
  • Gears of War 5

The strangest games that were on the website at the time were games like Final Fantasy VII Remake, Assassin’s Creed, and Dragon Quest 2. The last time news broke regarding the remaking of FF7 it was announced that the game would be released in episodes. As for Assassin’s Creed, what does that title mean? Is it a remake of the first game or is it a new game entirely? And as for Dragon Quest 2, did Nintendo decide to remake the game for the Switch and/or other consoles? As of right now no one has any answers to these questions and skepticism is the best approach to be had when it comes to news like this.
