The Defender of the Universe is back! (Again.)
Netflix and Dreamworks Animation has confirmed that a second season Voltron: Legendary Defender is happening, and it’s coming very soon. All episodes of season two will be available to stream starting January 20, 2017.
Voltron: Legendary Defender, a reboot of the classic 80’s Saturday morning cartoon, premiered on Netflix last June. The series follows Shiro, Keith, Lance, Pidge, and Hunk, a group of young space pilots who become entangled in a galactic war, and must work together to revive and control the legendary mech warrior Voltron.
If you haven’t checked this series out yet, please do. With awesome animation, funny characters, and talent from Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra working on the show, Voltron: Legendary Defender is fresh and lively, while retaining the charm that drew so many to the Defender of the Universe years ago. Plus, it’s only 11 episodes long!
