More Pokémon content is coming your way
VIZ Media, the largest publisher, distributor and licensor of manga and anime in North america, has announced that they will be releasing the home media release and official manga adaptation of “Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages” in early March of this year. The original film release came to Japan last summer with the movie being directed by Kunihiko Yuyama.
The DVD will be available on March 8th for the price of $19.97 U.S. and $24.97 CAN. In the film Ash, Pikachu and friends are traveling around a desert city by the sea. There they meet the mythical Pokémon, Hoopa, who has the ability to summon a wide variety of things, including people and Pokémon. Hoopa then loses control of his power and becomes Hoopa Unbound. With the fear of the power it holds inside, Hoopa must look to his new friend Ash to help him overcome his inner struggle. The film will have the dubbed English version or subtitled dialogue option, alone with 2.0 and 5.1 audio selections.
The Manga Will be released on March 1st for the price of $9.99 U.S. $12.99 CAN. This will just be a manga adaptation of the movie of the same name. It will be a single-volume manga bringing story and artwork by Gin Kamimura. VIZ’s Senior Marketing Manager Charlene Ingram said this about the newest Pokémon adventure:
