The cake is a lie!

The good news keeps on coming. Earlier today, during Nintendo’s “Mini Direct” event, it was announced that a bunch of awesome classic titles are coming to Switch, including both Portal titles, which are immediately available for download for $19.99 USD.

The Portal Companion Collection was previously announced in February which comes with both Portal and Portal 2 along with 2’s co-op starring ATLAS and P-body.

Portal originally launched back in 2007 with Portal 2 releasing in 2011. Since then, many fans have been hopeful for an official sequel but had to settle for spin-offs, while others have taken the initiative to make similar games of their own. And while we commend their efforts, nothing truly beats the original two. And now we can replay them again with portability! Portalability? There was a pun opportunity in there somewhere. Anyway.

Like we said before about Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, it could be possible that renewed interest in the franchise could be a factor in whether or not a sequel comes out. And while Valve certainly hates a trilogy, we hope that the Portal Companion Collection sells well enough to change their minds.
