After five years and three seasons, The Umbrella Academy will end with Season 4. The flagship show, which is arguably among the most popular, has received widespread praise for its fun and electric style and talented cast and crew. Creator and showrunner Steven Blackman had this to say about the final season which is currently in the early stages of production:
“I’m so excited that the incredibly loyal fans of ‘The Umbrella Academy’ will be able to experience the fitting end to the Hargreeves siblings’ journey we began five years ago. But before we get to that conclusion, we’ve got an amazing story ahead for season four, one that will have fans on the edge of their seats until the final minutes.”
Steve Blackman’s work is far from over with Netflix, however, as his Irish Cowboy Production company already has a few new projects in the works, including the videogame adaptation of PlayStation’s Horizon Zero Dawn, among others.
We have very little information at the present in regards to plot details for The Umbrella Academy Season 4 but the original cast is all signed on to return with Blackman also returning as showrunner through the series finale.
No release date or episode count has been confirmed by Netflix or Blackman.
