TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge adds Casey Jones as Playable Character, Will Release June 16th

Like, totally radical, dude!

Earlier today, as part of #SummerGameFest, we got more news on the upcoming beat-em-up arcade-style TMNT title, Shredder’s Revenge which showcased their newest playable character, Casey Jones.

We previously covered, back in August of last year, that April O’Neil was also playable, bringing the current roster to seven characters total (including the four turtles and Splinter, obviously). What makes this totally tubular is that online co-op has also been revealed to have six players at once, meaning every core member of the roster will join in on the street fights at the same time.

We do not know if there are plans to bring others into the mix like a playable Venus or Slash, but considering the game is coming to PC as well as consoles, you can expect to see some radical modding that will include many characters down the road.

TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge emulates its classic side-scrolling, beat-em-up, arcade counterparts from the 90s while also retaining the same look and feel.

Also coming later this year is The Cowabunga Collection which brings more than a dozen turtle titles to one awesome package. Here is what the collection includes:

• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles* (Arcade)
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time* (Arcade)
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (N)
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game (N)
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: The Manhattan Project (N)
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (N)
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time (SN)
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters* (SN)
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist* (SG)
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (SG)
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of The Foot Clan (GB)
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: Back From The Sewers (GB)
• Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III: Radical Rescue (GB)

Both games are slated for a 2022 release on all major consoles as well as PC.
