Back in December, we reported that a totally radical crossover between the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles would be happening in a limited comic run. Now, it seems that not only are they crossing over, but they have swapped powers making the Turtles into Rangers and the Rangers into… no, not Turtles, but Ninjas! Take a look below at some concept art and the cover of issue no.4 of this awesome crossover, courtesy of Boom-Studios.

Donatello as the Black Ranger.
Leonardo as the Blue Ranger.
Raphael as the Red Ranger.
Michaelangelo as the Yellow Ranger.

Unfortunately, the Rangers and the Turtles weren’t the only ones who got some new powers and abilities, as Shredder has managed to snag the Dragon Coin and Shield and has become the Green Ranger. As if Shredder wasn’t dangerous enough, with the powers of the Power Grid backing him, he may be too much for the Power Turtles and the Ninja Rangers (but probably not). The official plot of the issue depicting this intense battle is as follows:

“It’s the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as you’ve never seen them before vs Green Ranger Shredder! Will both teams be enough to stop the head of the Foot Clan as he wields the awesome power of the Dragon Shield and the Morphin Grid for evil? And what’s Rita Repulsa up to as the mighty battle rages on?”

The cover of issue no.4 above showcases the attack from Shredder and the Foot, but there is one detail here you may have missed. Why does the Pink Ranger look normal? That’s because that isn’t Kimberly, but April O’Neil. During the power swap, which you will need to read to find out all the details of, April managed to become a Ranger herself, too!

MMPR/TMNT no.4 will be available in print wherever comics are sold on March 18, 2020. All images courtesy of Boom-Studios.
