LIFE AFTER BETH
Zach (Dane DeHaan) is pretty distraught after his girlfriend Beth (Aubrey Plaza) tragically dies. Suddenly she rises from the dead as a fully functioning zombie and Zach seizes the opportunity to give their relationship another chance. This looks to be a really silly take on the teenage romance movie with a solid supporting cast.
Life After Beth stars Dane DeHaan, Aubrey Plaza, Anna Kendrick, Molly Shannon, John C. Reilly, Cheryl Hines, Paul Reiser, and Alia Shawkat. Written and directed by Jeff Baena. In theaters August 15.
JIMI: ALL IS BY MY SIDE
The film takes place in the UK between 1966-1967 capturing André Benjamin as the legendary Jimi Hendrix in the events leading up to his performance at the Monterey Pop Festival. The filmmakers weren’t given permission to use any of Hendrix’s songs, however, the soundtrack will feature André Benjamin’s versions of covers that Hendrix performed in clubs prior to releasing his debut album.
Jimi: All Is By My Side stars André Benjamin, Hayley Atwell, Burn Gorman, and Imogen Poots. Written and directed by John Ridley. In theaters September 26.
HORRIBLE BOSSES 2
It appears that the three leads from the first Horrible Bosses film are back at it again. After creating their own business, Nick, Dale, and Kurt face complications when an investor attempts to take them down. With no other logical options, the guys enlist the help of their old bosses and “Motherfuckah” Jones to stage a kidnapping for ransom.
Horrible Bosses 2 stars Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Jennifer Aniston, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey, Chris Pine, and Christof Waltz. Written by John Francis Daley, Jonathan Goldstein, Sean Anders, and John Morris. Directed by Sean Anders. In theaters November 26.
