[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]fter more than a year of waiting, Netflix has finally released the third season of the Netflix original, Orange is the New Black. Fans waited anxiously this past week for the premiere that was released six hours earlier than promised at around 9 PM Eastern time, Thursday, June 11th.
During the show’s first ever OrangeCon, an event dedicated to the fans of the show, the third season was released. OrangeCon brought together a variety of the different faces present on and off the set to help create a premiere-like atmosphere for the long-awaited reveal of the third season. Emmy award winner and nominee, Uzo Aduba, who also plays a role on the show, was present at OrangeCon and made the request for an early release of the show. Netflix CEO, Reed Hastings was present at the event, and responded to Aduba’s request by releasing the show six hours earlier than previously promised.
