The second anthology film in the Star Wars universe will tell the story of Boba Fett.
Infamous, fan favorite bounty hunter Boba Fett will finally be receiving a movie all of his own. The origin story of Fett will be told in the second anthology film being produced by Disney, with the first being Rouge One. This news comes on the heels of Josh Trank’s announcement that he would be leaving the directors role for the movie.
Boba Fett is a Mandalorian bounty hunter who was a clone of Jango Fett. Jango found Boba and raised him as his son and taught him all he knew and grew up to be one of the greatest bounty hunters in the galaxy. Boba Fett worked with the likes of Darth Vader, the Empire, and Jabba the Hutt, who asked him to capture Han Solo. Boba Fett was first seen in The Empire Strikes Back and was also featured in Return of the Jedi. Jeremy Bulloch played Boba in both pictures.
The Star Wars universe is being broadened with these anthology films, giving the viewer some history behind long time favorite characters. Rogue One follows a group of rebel pilots who band together on a risky mission to steal the plans for the Death Star. There is a lot of potential with these movies and it is keeping a lot of people excited.
