Well that’s kind of a bummer.

[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]here has been a lot of speculation around the internet about Snoke, the Supreme Leader of the First Order from the new Star Wars trilogy. Fans were hoping to get some answers to their many questions with the next installment in the series, The Last Jedi, but it does not seem like that is going to happen.

Supreme Leader Snoke

Vanity Fair journalist, David Kamp, was doing involved in a Reddit AMA recently where he discussed many things, including his Vanity Fair cover story interview with The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson. A person asked a question about if Johnson had revealed any new information to Kamp about Snoke. His answer was “I asked [writer/director] Rian Johnson about Snoke—Who/what is he?—and Rian was fairly up front in saying that Snoke is not a character he particularly gets into in TLJ. Hmmm.”

Well that does not inspire confidence. In any case the internet speculation will continue to swirl around Snoke until we all finally get some answers. We were hoping for some in The Last Jedi but now we are going to have to aim for Episode IX.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to be released in theaters on December 15, 2017.
