DC Comics is promising The Flash to be the most faithful adaptation ever, says Geoff Johns, writer for DC Entertainment.
“We’re incorporating almost everything from the mythology into it and have added a whole new back story.”
In other words, it’ll be the complete opposite of Marvel’s adaptation of Daredevil. I’m actually really sorry about that joke, I don’t think anything will ever be that bad. The show is looking out to be a promising spin-off of Arrow, with the inclusion of as many characters from the comics as possible. The pilot episode will be premiering at San Diego Comic Con, on panel, alongside Arrow, Gotham, and Constantine.
The Flash, starring Grant Gustin, premieres October 7th on The CW.
