Rogue One was, by many accounts, a completely different Star Wars film compared to everything that had been done before. More of a war film than anything, the movie struck a strong chord with fans. With that in mind, Lucasfilm decided to give Diego Luna’s character a chance to tell his own story in Andor. Check out the trailer below.
The show will follow Cassian Andor, a cutthroat Rebellion spy who organizes a near-suicidal mission to steal the Death Star plans. And while we know Diego Luna’s character doesn’t have the happiest of endings the actor says, “There’s tons of possibilities to explore, it is the building of a revolution.”
In addition to the trailer, Disney revealed renowned Irish actress Fiona Shaw will be joining the series as well as Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgard, and Kyle Soller. The series will arrive on Disney+ sometime in 2022.
