[dropcap=small]A[/dropcap]re you a huge PlayStation 3 fan? Let me rephrase that… Are you a huge fan of the DualShock 3 controller that comes with the PS3? If you answered yes, then this handmade custom coffee table modeled after that exact controller could have been the perfect ($3,000) addition to your house. Sadly someone already beat us to it, but it’s still worth taking a look at.
Technabob first reported that Etsy user WoodCurve constructed the gamer table from 3/4″ birch plywood, topped off with a custom-cut 1/2″ tempered glass top with polished edges. Not only is it well-made, it also looks exactly like the controller it’s modeled after.
Typically WoodCurve is known for making crazy bookshelves, so it’s really cool to see them step out of their comfort zone. In addition to looking awesome, the DualShock 3 table also discreetly packs in a hidden compartment that can hold games, controllers, Mountain Dew cans, loose pizza slices, the possibilities are endless!
The price tag might sound a bit high to most, but when you think about all the detail it packs and how much work went into making it, $3,000 seems about right. Now we just have to convince the shop to make more of them. We’ll take two, please.
However, if you can’t wait and you’ve got tons of cash to blow, you might also be interested in this $5,000 NES inspired coffee table that hit the web awhile back. It’s retro, looks fantastic, and it actually works!
