New photos showcase dead stormtroopers and a destroyed ship.
What an age we live in. Not one, but TWO Star Wars movies are currently being filmed: Episode VIII, and the first anthology film, Rogue One.
Rogue One has recently begun production, and TMZ has sneakily took set photos of the film on location in North London. Check them out below.
It appears that these photos are of three separate scenes: one of a damaged bunker or base, dead stormtroopers floating in water, and the crash site of a ship.
Could those stormtroopers be the protagonists in disguise a la Episode IV? Maybe. Chances are that the film’s characters won’t make it out alive, seeing as retrieving the Death Star plans has been described as a deadly mission in past films.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story focuses on a band a Rebels who come together to steal the plans for the Death Star prior to the events of A New Hope. The film is directed by Gareth Edwards (Godzilla), and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Alan Tudyk, and Mads Mikkelsen.
Rogue One hits theaters on December 16, 2016.
