Wonder Woman is quite literally shrouded in mystery.
[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]e’ve seen images of Gal Gadot in the famous revamped Wonder Woman garb – which she’ll be donning in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – and now we’ve finally been given a look-in at the first image of the standalone Wonder Woman film heading to theatres in 2017.
Gadot tweeted the first image of the amazonian warrior princess, hooded and cloaked, and staring out at us with an intense gaze.

The image is a great way of teasing us, by only partially revealing her costume. The famous tiara and arm bracelets are certainly the key features of the picture, and Gardot definitely looks the part.
The standalone film will also feature Chris Pine and Robin Wright, with Patty Jenkins (known for Monster) taking on the film from the directors chair.
Actor Saïd Taghmaoui also recently posted a photo on his instagram account, which shows Taghmaoui on the set with Pine. Check out that period costume!
The Wonder Woman standalone film is due for release 26 June, 2017.
