Even though they’re cousins the Superman and Supergirl will not see one another.
[dropcap size=small]N[/dropcap]ews broke during the Television Critics Association summer press tour panel that Supergirl will not meet Superman from Man of Steel, according to the show’s producers. The news is slightly surprising considering how close the two are, but yet it makes sense considering that DC Comics already announced that the popular tv shows Arrow and The Flash are in a different/separate universe from the movies.
Superman will be out of the picture doing his own thing while Supergirl/Kryptonian Kara learns to embrace her superhero powers after hiding them from the public. Executive producer Ali Adler made it clear that while they “respect the history of Superman” the show is about “her point of view.”
“He will be a factor in her life but you won’t see him exactly on screen. He’s gonna be more in the background. But he does play a part in her evolution of becoming a superhero”
Supergirl premiers on October 26th on CBS.
