[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]heisha’s V Jump magazine is set to reveal some major news for the upcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse video game on Saturday. The introduction of Super Android 17 (GT) as a playable character and an all-new OVA that explains the villains, Towa and Mira, along with the events leading up to the game are a few of the details to be shared.
Players will take control of an original character that will attempt to stop Towa and Mira from changing the course of Dragon Ball Z history.
Frieza, Cell, and Buu look like they might be under some sort of mind control spell.
Xenoverse is to be released in Japan first in 2015 on February 5, followed closely by the North American release on February 17 for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, and Steam.
Pre-Order bonuses in Japan will include Akira Toriyama’s latest creation, Jaco the Galactic Patrolman as a playable character. It has not been announced whether North American pre-orders will receive Jaco as a bonus. However, it was previously announced that some neat additions come with the game for those who pay early, which you can see below for the NA and EU release.
Our guess is that Jaco will be made available later as DLC
EU Pre-Order options include Trunks’ Travel Addition, complete with 25cm statue
Trunks’ Travel Edition (CE trailer)
Developed by Dimps and published by Bandai Namco, Dragon Ball Z comes to all major platforms on February 17, 2015.
