Get ready for a hipster owl, mega evolutions, and a demo!

A new trailer for Pokémon Sun and Moon has arrived, and with it, our first glimpse at the evolved forms of the Alola region starters, and a few new and returning features.

Check out the trailer below.

The first starter, Rowlett, a Grass/Flying type, evolves into Dartrix, the Blade Quill Pokémon. Dartrix attacks its opponent with sharp blade-like feathers, and apparently cares a great deal about its appearance, which might explain the sick bangs.

Litten, the Fire type starter, evolves into Torracat, the Fire Cat Pokémon. Torracat can emit flames from the bell on its neck, and is competitively fierce.

Popplio, the Water type starter, evolves into Brionne, the Pop Star Pokémon. Brionne is cheery, positive, and loves to dance…and isn’t as dopey looking as Popplio.

Also shown in the trailer was the new feature Festival Plaza. This mode, which appears to be very similar to the 3DS StreetPass Plaza, allows trainers to interact with other trainers they’ve encountered, and play mini games to win collectables and items.

Another new feature revealed in the trailer is Poke Pelago. This is a collection of islands where you can send Pokémon in your PC box to hangout, attract wild Pokémon, collect rare items, or even gain experience. Basically, it finally gives your Pokémon something to do when they’re trapped in cyberspace!

Finally, Mega Evolutions, a feature introduced in X and Y, are back! While no knew mega evolutions were shown in the trailer, it’s nice to know this power-up isn’t just exclusive to the Kalos and Hoenn region.

Excited for Sun and Moon? Want to hop on the hype train early? Well you can! It was also revealed that there will be a special demo version of the games available to download off the 3DS Nintendo eShop starting October 18. As a special bonus, the demo features Ash-Greninja, a form of Greninja introduced in the anime, and you’ll be able to transfer Ash-Greninja to your copy of Sun or Moon. Sweet!

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon comes to the 3DS on November 18 in the US and November 23 in the UK.
