Just because Solo was a flop, and The Last Jedi disappointed a lot of people, doesn’t mean Disney is shelving Star Wars for too long. Sure, they recently said they would give the movies a break from release after Rise of Skywalker, but that just means they have more time to recoup from any blunders in writing or directing *cough* Rian Johnson *cough*.
Today, Disney announced a boat load of new release dates for Marvel, Avatar *yawn*, live-action adaptions, and yes, Star Wars. Three new untitled films have been scheduled over the next six and a half years, with the first coming in December of 2022.

It is time that Star Wars focused on something else other than the Skywalker family drama, preferably a prequel series that touches base on the growth of the Sith, the Jedi, the Republic, and all that jazz. We have long discussed and expressed our hope for a Knights of the Old Republic series, which we still think would be awesome.
While we do not know what focus the story will have in 2022, it is clear that they are likely doing a trilogy of some kind, as is Star Wars. As to what we will get, is anyone’s guess. Just hope its less Rose, and more shirtless Kylo.
