Today during the 2019 Star Wars Celebration in Chicago, the hotly anticipated first trailer for Star Wars Episode IX was revealed. Check out the teaser for The Rise of Skywalker.
After an intense standoff between Rey and a TIE fighter, we get a flash of scenes including Kylo Ren repairing his busted helmet, a desert chase involving Poe, Finn, and C3-PO, Rey embracing Leia (I’m weeping), AND the Lando reveal.
He looks so happy! Finally, a decent paycheck.
The trailer ends with a voiceover from Luke echoing “No one’s ever really gone” from The Last Jedi, followed by a harrowingly familiar cackle.
