It’s still on the way!
[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]ega announced last week at SXSW that Sonic Mania is going to be delayed. Sonic Mania was originally scheduled to be released this spring but it is now scheduled to be released this summer. No exact date has been set yet.
As a consolation for delaying the game Sega also announced another level for the game, the Flying Battery Zone. This level will be familiar to fans as it has already appeared in earlier Sonic games, Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles.
Sonic Mania is currently scheduled to be released in summer 2017 and will be available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.
