After years of fans asking for the Game Boy Advance era to get proper love on modern hardware, Nintendo and The Pokémon Company are finally delivering. Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen are officially launching on Nintendo Switch on February 27th for $19.99 USD each, with pre-orders available now on the Nintendo eShop. Both games have live store pages on Nintendo.com confirming the details.
Here are the pre-order links for FireRed and for LeafGreen.

Nintendo has also confirmed local wireless functionality through the Pokémon Wireless Club for trading and battling. In addition, support for Pokémon HOME is “coming soon,” allowing players to transfer their caught Pokémon into the broader ecosystem.
Originally released on the Game Boy Advance, these Kanto remakes return players to the classic journey of becoming Pokémon League Champion. Trainers will once again explore this classic region, catch wild Pokémon, complete the Pokédex, and earn Gym Badges by developing strategies against each Gym Leader. The digital-exclusive release also includes the Sevii Islands content, expanding the postgame with additional areas and Pokémon.
For $19.99 each, FireRed and LeafGreen are positioned as a nostalgic return to Kanto with modern convenience built in.
