Some Pokemon have certain conditions that need to be met in order to evolve and happiness is one of these. Luckily, Redditor Leafeon111 has a surprisingly simple answer to your problem!
According to Leafeon111, the Redditor was able to evolve Pichu by raising its happiness using these following steps. The steps below are also known to have worked for the Pokemon Munchlax which will evolve into Snorlax once it reaches the required level and happiness:
- Find two TM’s that your Pokemon can learn (Leafeon111 used Echoed Voice and Protect)
- Replace one of their moves with one TM
- Replace the move taught with one TM with the other TM
- Repeat step 3 for 5 – 10 minutes
- Level up your Pokemon
