For a character that’s been around 127 years, Sherlock Holmes seems to be the hottest ‘new’ thing.
From the Robert Downey Jr. film franchise, to the critically acclaimed BBC series Sherlock, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous literary character is experiencing a sort of cultural renaissance.
Now, the “world’s greatest detective” (No, not Batman) is getting a new video game release.
A brand new launch trailer has been revealed for Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments.
Check it out!
The game will let you take on the role of Sherlock Holmes (with an updated look in which he can’t be bothered to put on a tie) as you investigate 6 different cases ranging from murders to disappearances, thefts, and more.
Crimes & Punishments will require the player to make “moral choices” that will have an influence on the game and your character’s reputation. Think L.A. Noire meets Heavy Rain. This action/consequence dynamic will require players to “think before acting”, lending itself to a deeper gaming experience.
You can pick up the game on September 30th for Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
