The Russos will be taking over the Avengers franchise from Joss Whedon, who directed the first two Avengers movies.
[dropcap size=small]M[/dropcap]arvel has now committed four films to the Russo brothers. That’s more than any other single person, or persons in this case. Whedon has only directed two Marvel movies to date, and Jon Favreau alongside him with his two Ironman flicks. The two sit on top with their now four Marvel films; Captain America: Winter Soldier, the upcoming Captain America: Civil War, and now the next two Avengers movies.

With so much time needed to shoot these upcoming blockbusters, it is unlikely that the Russo’s will find time to direct between the two Avengers films. The duo is attached to direct Sony’s, The Gray Man and the upcoming Channing Tatum, Ghostbusters movie. Now Sony has to make the choice of waiting for the brothers or try to find a way to make these films before the Infinity Wars start production.
The Russo brother’s next film, Captain America: Civil War, will include Sony’s new Spider-Man as part of the deal between Sony and Marvel. The Infinity War movies should shoot back-to-back in 2016.
