The internet is once again a buzz with Star Wars news as rumours of a leaked teaser trailer do the rounds. A leaked description of the new teaser trailer was reportedly put up on 4chan before being taken down shortly after. Lucky for us, Star Wars theorist Mike Zorah was able to recount much of what was in this post in his latest Youtube video.
Of particular interest is one of the scenes in this teaser reportedly show Rey in a dark environment with glowing orbs around her. This has people going crazy with speculation of where she might be. We have all seen this “dark environment” before!
Fans seem to think this indicates that perhaps Rey has made her way to Degobah and is being taught by the Jedi Grand Master Yoda himself….as a Force Ghost.
Many of you may already know that in the Star Wars universe sometimes, a particular Force Ghost can bind itself to a Force-sensitive as a guardian spirit for the purpose of providing wisdom, continuing training, and offering aid.

We already know that Rey heard Yoda’s voice in her vision when she touched Luke’s lightsaber so it is entirely possible that Yoda, sensing Rey’s “sensitivity” to the Force, has done just that.
Now, given that Rey is prone to visions, there is a slight inkling there that she is not physically on Degobah but perhaps being taught through a vision. It seems unlikely that Rey would travel all the way to Ahch-To only to then turn around and head to Degobah.
We know from the Force Awakens that Luke set off to find the first Jedi Temple and the ruins that we see briefly in the final scene indicate that he has found it. So we can speculate now that Rey has found her way to Luke and subsequently the first Jedi Temple, the Force surrounding this obviously ancient place is going to be massive and Rey’s Force-sensitivity is going to make her an obvious choice for Yoda to train.
Of course, nothing is yet confirmed but to have Yoda reappear in the new Star Wars Disney franchise seems an obvious choice for old and new Star Wars fans.
