Welcome home, our wacky orange friend.
After endless teasing for nearly a year, Crash Bandicoot is finally returning to PlayStation.
During the 2016 E3 Sony Press Conference, it was revealed that the PS1 classics Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Crash Bandicoot: Warped are getting remastered ports for the PlayStation 4.
While Activision still retains the rights to the series, this announcement was made possible through a special agreement between the publishers. Think Spider-Man in Civil War.
Also revealed was that Crash will be playable in the latest Skylanders game, Imaginators. Not the most exciting of announcements, but at least big fans will probably be able to pick up a cool figure.
While this isn’t the new game reveal longtime fans have been waiting for, we’re excited nonetheless to play some of our favorites childhood games in, what we would imagine, glorious HD.
The Crash Bandicoot trilogy hits PS4 in 2017. Skylanders: Imaginations comes to PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U on October 16.
