Perfect.
The villain of the upcoming Power Rangers reboot film has been cast, as Elizabeth Banks is set to play the classic foe, Rita Repulsa.
The news comes way of The Hollywood Reporter, as well as the film’s official Instagram account.

Banks has starred in a number of high-profile films, including the Hunger Games series as Effie Trinket, as well as appearing in, and directing, Pitch Perfect 2.
Rita Repulsa was the arch-enemy of the Power Rangers during the first few season of the show. She was portrayed, and voice-dubbed, by many actresses, but most notably played by Machiko Soga, and voiced by Barbara Goodson for the original Mighty Morphin series.
Repulsa is a powerful space witch bend on conquering Earth. Her over-the-top appearance, voice, and overall obnoxious demeanor have made her one of, if not the, most iconic Power Rangers villain of all time.
If anyone could bring this character to the big screen, if would have to be Banks, as her comedic chops will no doubt lend to the ridiculous nature of Repulsa.
Banks joins the entire roster of Rangers, who were cast late last year, including, Becky G as the Yellow Ranger, R.J. Cyler as the Blue Ranger, Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger, Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger, and Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger.
Saban’s Power Rangers mighty morphs into theaters on March 24, 2017.
