‘Power Rangers’ Reboot Casts Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger

Say hello to the new Kimberly.

The first Ranger has been cast for the upcoming Power Rangers reboot. Kimberly Hart, aka the Pink Ranger, will be portrayed by Naomi Scott.

The news was revealed via the film’s instagram account.

Scott has appeared in a number of television projects including Terra Nova and Lemonade Mouth, and she has recently appeared in the films The Martian and The 33.

The upcoming Power Rangers film is set to be a reboot of the Mighty Morphin series, and will be directed by Project Almanac helmer Dean Israelite. Based off of numerous rumors, expect to see classic characters from the show appear in the film.

If you were a dude growing up in the 90’s, the original Kimberly Hart, played by Amy Jo Johnson, may have been your first crush. Well, her or Kelly Kapowski. Maybe Scott will cause a new generation of fans to fall in love.
