Pokemon World Championships gets threatened, armed men arrested

The two arrested men were in the Masters Division of the tournament.

[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]n Boston, Massachusetts the Pokemon World Championships were taking place and it was at this tournament that two men, one eighteen years old and the other twenty seven, supposedly threatened the tournament. The Boston Police Department released a statement announcing the news during a news release four days ago.

The two men – whose names are Kevin Norton, 18, and James Stumbo, 27, –  were arrested in their hotel after police found the weapons pictured above in their vehicle. The two men were originally from Iowa and had driven to Boston to attend the Pokemon World Championship. According to the Boston police, the officers found a 12-gauge Remington shotgun, a DPMS Model AR-15 rifle, several hundred rounds of ammunition, and a hunting knife in the vehicle. None of the two men could produce a valid license to carry the weapons.

James Stumbo posted a photo on a Facebook page called “Mayhem Pokemon Crew” showing a white sedan with two military-like weapons. James Stumbo titled the photo “Kevin Norton and I are ready for worlds, Boston here we come!!!” When a fellow group member commented on the photo wishing the two men luck Kevin Norton replied, “With killing the competition?” The two men are currently being held without bail.
