With the 25th anniversary of Pokemon arriving in February 2021, Niantic has announced it will be celebrating the momentous occasion with a very special in-game event. For just one day on February 20, the studio will host the Kanto Tour which includes Research tasks and all of the original 150 Pokemon. Niantic announced the event in a tweet which you can see below.

Much like Niantic’s Pokemon Go Fest from back in July, players will receive exclusive contact, a special research story that will lead to an encounter with a “special Pokemon” and much more. Furthermore, ticket holders are given the chance to catch the Shiny versions of all original 150 Pokemon.
Ticket holders are given the choice to choose between a “Red Version” and a “Green Version” of the event which decides what kinds of Pokemon they’ll encounter in the wild. You can find more details below:
