After two seasons, Sony has decided to shut down it’s only TV show!
[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]eeing that original shows from Netflix, Hulu and even Youtube have had success since Netflix started the trend, Playstation came out with their own exclusive TV show Powers on March 10th, 2015. But after only two seasons, the show has been cancelled.
Co-creator and comic author Brian Michael Bendis tweeted the news earlier this week:
this is hard to tweet, but word is that @POWERStheSERIES is sadly, no more. season 2 was the last. at least for now. 1/2

Bendis later tweeted that Power‘s comic life will still live on through with the title Diamond Days.

Sony put a lot of effort into promoting Powers not just on the Playstation, but also had some ads run on FX. Despite the show getting cancelled, the first show in the second season is still available on Playstation’s Youtube account and it’s almost hit 5 million views.
Despite Powers getting cancelled, Bendis thinks that the show can make a comeback at some point after answering a fan’s question about a previous tweet saying “Season 2 was the last. For now.”
A powers episode generated over 4.5 million hits on youtube alone & people BTS who believe in us. we'll see… https://t.co/XuPsPT0eCj
