Nolan North will be taking over as the voice of Ghost in Destiny.
[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]t would seem that Bungie has decided to kill off Peter Dinklage’s character, or rather his voice, before Game of Thrones could. While it is uncertain as to why Bungie decided to swap out voice actors, it seems very possible that the reasoning behind it was Peter Dinklage’s Ghost was too monotone, at least according to some fans of the game.
Instead, it seems that Nolan North will be taking over the role of Ghost. The voice actor, who has worked on popular video games like Uncharted and Assassin’s Creed, has been hired by Bungie to voice ghost for the Taken King expansion. Not only that, but the voice actor will be voicing Ghost for the entire game as a whole, completely wiping Peter Dinklage’s voice from existence.
Nolan North seems to be very excited with his new role, believing that he will bring more “personality” to the character overall. He had this to say about the news:
“I was really excited to do this role. You want to give him as much personality as the world will allow, without making it unbelievable. There’s a fine line to walk there, and I think we found it.”
What do you think? Should Bungie keep Peter Dinklage on board or is Nolan North a much better choice? Let us know in the comments below!
