David Ayer posted the picture to Twitter the other day with the caption “Cast read through today!”
[dropcap size=small]S[/dropcap]uicide Squad, directed by David Ayer, is based on the DC comic about a team of imprisoned super-villains who perform high-risk missions for the united States government for a lesser sentence. They are formally known as Task Force X. The team’s actions are highly classified, and the government is able to deny any involvement by claiming that they are not responsible for the damages of a random super-villain attack.
The photo shows new actors who have joined the crew; Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje who will be playing Killer Croc, Jay Hernandez is El Diablo, and Karen Fukuhara will be Plastique. Other Notable actors in the picture are Adam Beach, Jim Parrack, and Ike Barinholtz. Beach is rumored to be playing Raven, an early member of the Suicide Squad who is skilled in martial arts . Jim Parrack will be playing the role of the anti-hero Deathstroke, and Barinholtz will most likely play Dr. Hugo Strange. Nothing is confirmed yet so we will have to wait a little longer to see who these new actors will play.
Suicide Squad features an all-star cast including Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, and others has started production in Toronto and will be in theaters August 5, 2016
