Have you caught the seemingly elusive Salandit? If so, you better hope that it’s a female!
[dropcap size=small]O[/dropcap]f all the Pokemon games that have been released thus far Pokemon Sun & Moon is undoubtedly the most strange and unique game yet. The game not only introduces new Pokemon every few weeks but these new Pokemon have unique abilities and talents.
Enter Salandit, the Pokemon that will only evolve if it’s gender is female. Yep, you read that right.
Salandit is either a common sight for trainers or an uncommon sight with results varying everywhere. Some trainers claim they have caught the Pokemon in the beginning of the game and others say they’ve never seen the Pokemon thus far. Not only that, but Salandit is a fire and poison type Pokemon with a specific evolution requirement, it has to be a female. Only 12.5 percent of all Salandits in Pokemon Sun & Moon are female which means the chances of catching a female are incredibly slim.
If you own a Salandit and the Pokemon is a female the Pokemon will evolve once it reaches level 33. Salandit will evolve into Salazzle and several trainers who were lucky enough to evolve Salandit claim that all of that hard work is well worth it.
So if you haven’t stumbled across a Salandit be sure to keep searching for a female because owning a Pokemon that can poison and burn an opponent’s Pokemon is definitely worth catching.
