See Link traverse the lush, expansive vistas of Hyrule in Nintendo’s latest Zelda title!
[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]e knew that Nintendo were going to show us more of the highly anticipated upcoming Zelda title during their E3 conference, and right off the bat, they delivered a shiny new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
And it looks amazing.
Check it out below:
The trailer shows off gorgeously enchanting vistas with the beach shores, lakes and vast forested landscapes of Hyrule – the game looks incredibly pretty, whilst still retaining that classic charm so often found in Zelda titles. The vistas are accompanied by a wistful, melodic soundtrack laced with a nostalgic tune to add to the magic of it all.
We also got a glimpse of some of the features we can expect to see in the game, including cooking, horse riding, swimming and even chopping down trees. Some new additions are also shown such as stealth combat, axes, spears, using rolling boulders to take out enemies, and at one point, Link is donning some plate armour.
Here’s a brief description of the game from Nintendo themselves:
Step into a world of discovery, exploration and adventure in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a boundary-breaking new game in the acclaimed series. Travel across fields, through forests and to mountain peaks as you discover what has become of the ruined kingdom of Hyrule in this stunning open-air adventure.
More of Link’s newest adventure is sure to be revealed during the remainder of the Nintendo Treehouse livestream, but this trailer is a pretty great start.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is expected to release sometime in 2017 on the Wii U and ever elusive new NX console.
