The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds released last year, during the holiday season, for the Nintendo 3DS. The game was a step back to its predecessor, and one of my favorite games of all time, A Link to the Past for the Super Nintendo. Shigeru Miyamoto, who I will refer to as Shiggy from now on, met with shareholders last month to discuss unannounced ideas for another entry in the franchise. As stated in a Q&A, Shiggy said that Nintendo wants to evolve the Legend of Zelda series.
“We are gradually changing the structure of The Legend of Zelda series, and we are preparing to newly evolve the series for Wii U. In addition to that, we have ideas for Nintendo 3DS which we have not announced yet, so I hope you will look forward to them.” – Shiggy
