[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he voice behind Uncharted’s quippy protagonist Nathan Drake has recently gave some details on a number of upcoming projects he is involved with, including a new Star Wars game.
During a Q&A panel at Metrocon, voice actor Nolan North commented on the progress of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and answered questions regarding the departure of the Uncharted series writer Amy Hennig, during the production of the game. While North didn’t divulge into too much detail as to why she left, he did tease Hennig’s new project at Visceral Games.
North assured his audience that, “If you’re a big fan of Amy Hennig and her style of story, she’s gone to EA and is going to reboot a brand new Star Wars franchise in the style of Uncharted, and I happen to know a lot about it and it’s going to be awesome.”
Hennig joined the Electronic Arts owned developer Visceral Games last year, and as North explained, has been working on a mysterious new Star Wars game since. Little to no details have been shared on this game, but North had more to say about the new franchise.
Prompted by a question relating the new game to Star Wars 1313, a cancelled third-person shooter starring Boba Fett, North shared that Visceral’s game will, “be along the same lines,” as 1313.
If North is indeed telling the truth, chances are Visceral’s Star Wars game will have big action set pieces, stunning visuals, and witty characters, all of which are prominent features of the Uncharted series.
