Great Scott! Christopher Lloyd reprises his role as Doc Brown in new trailer for Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s new game Lego Dimensions.
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he video shows Doc Brown getting a mysterious package that has glowing blue symbols on it. “What is inside,” he ponders to himself. When opened, he finds a bunch of Lego peaces including one that looks just like him. After some time, he finally constructs a teleporter that takes him into the Lego world where we see all of the familiar Lego game characters.
The game is being developed by Traveller’s Tales and will feature a mix of franchises including DC Comics, The Lord of the Rings, The LEGO Movie, The Wizard of Oz, LEGO Ninjago, and more.
Lego Dimensions is a toys-to-life experience, in the same realm as Disney’s Infinity, Activision’s Skylanders, or Nintendo’s Amiibo.
TT Games founder and creative director Jon Burton say,
“Now for the first time in a video game, LEGO fans can play in the virtual world and in the real world–combining everything without restrictions. Imagine putting LEGO Gollum from The Lord of the Rings behind the wheel of the LEGO Delorean in New Ninjago City–the creative play is endless.”
Lego Dimensions will hit shelves September 27.
