The LEGO Batman Movie isn’t just a film made of LEGO brick characters and some goofy humor thrown in. We get to see Will Arnett’s Batman take in Michael Cera’s Robin and show him the ropes. Not only that, but we get to see the Justice League go toe to toe with the Joker and his gang of villains. The film has a plotline and Will Arnett has given us the impression that we will see Batman confront his own “unhealthy behavior” as pointed out by Alfred.
“Batman is an orphan and he’s always been alone, so he’s been left to his own devices and I think he has a lot of issues. This movie isn’t just about Batman beating the enemy, it’s about beating his own demons. When you have somebody that confident, they’re oftentimes making up for deficiencies in other areas of their characters.”
Whether or not The LEGO Batman Movie is just going to be just a standalone film or the beginning of a trilogy of films about LEGO Batman remains to be seen, but we can be certain that the film will be pleasant for everyone who sees it.
The LEGO Batman Movie hits theaters February 10th, 2017.
