During the broadcast of the Olympics last night, a special “Sneak Peak” trailer for Incredibles 2 dropped. Check it out below.
The trailer begins with a bang by showing us that the sequel will indeed take place immediately after the events of the first film, as we see Mr. and Mrs. Incredible rush off to fight the Underminer.
We later get our first details on the film’s plot as Frozone introduces the Parr’s to a business magnate (voiced by Bob Odenkirk) who wants to put superheroes back in the public’s eye. This involves Mrs. Incredible going out on adventures on her own, leaving Bob to say at home and look after the kids, and especially Jack-Jack, whose multiple powers continue to emerge.
Although pretty brief, the trailer shows that this long-awaited sequel will continue to put a unique family spin on the superhero genre just like the first one did, while focusing more on Mrs. Incredible and her own ambitions.
Plus we got to see Edna at the very end!
Incredibles 2 comes to theaters on June 15.
