Michael Ironside has been cast as Captain Cold’s father for the second season of The Flash.

[dropcap size=small]M[/dropcap]ichael Ironside has a pretty extensive career as an actor. He was a part of ER, Cold Case, Community, Top Gun, X-Men First Class, Castle, Vegas, he voiced Darkseid on Superman: The Animated Series, the list just keeps going on and on. The man has an impressive resume to be sure and now he gets to add another show to that resume. He has been cast as Lewis Snart on The CW’s The Flash.
Michael Ironside will be playing the role of Captain Cold’s father as a guest star in the third episode of the second season titled “Family of Rogues”. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Leonard and Lisa’s father is described as an abusive man who has a criminal history and is fresh out of jail in Central City with a dangerous plan that will put both his kids in danger. There isn’t much information on Golden Glider/Captain Cold’s father other than that he was such a terrible father that his son spent more time with his grandfather who ran an ice truck business. Sounds like this episode will be an emotional roller coaster.
The Flash returns this fall, October 6th on The CW.
