Micheal Bay was given a little advice by a big Hollywood director for the next Transformers movie…
Quite a bit is happening in the movie industry today, but it’s always refreshing to know some things never change.
Michael Bay will return for Transformers 5. A little bit of a shock because he led everyone to believe that he would be done after the third movie. And then again when he was done directing the fourth movie. But here we are again, with another Michael Bay Transformers on the way. Being the big driving hand behind the series it seems he can’t let go just yet.
In an interview with Rolling Stone he said:
“I’m doing Transformers … 5, is it? I’ve taken on a lot of work. … It’s fun to do a movie that 100 million people will see. But at least this is the last one. I have to pass the reins to someone else. J.J. [Abrams] told me, ‘You’re the only guy that could do this.’ But it’s time to move on. One more.”
Now Michael Bay seems to be very confident with this last Transformers movie, and rightfully so. Even if his movies do not get the best reviews, they do really pull in that money. Worldwide Transformers: Dark of the Moon had grossed $1,157.3 million and Transformers: Age of Extinction grossed $1,104.1 million, giving them pretty generous spots as two of the highest grossing films of all time. Clearly he is doing something right.
Again, he has claimed to have left the series for good multiple times, so let’s see if he can actually stay away from the madness of the most recognized giant fighting robots on the planet. But everyone will have to wait until after the movies release in 2017 to see what his next move will be.
