Oops?
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]his isn’t the first time something like this has happened. Amazon has been the source for some accidental leaks before but it seems to have happened again. The Mass Effect franchise has been dormant for a number of years, though a sequel has been in the works. Initially, the franchise’s fourth installment was meant to debut in 2016. However, that was recently pushed back to a 2017 release date.
Thanks to PC Gamer, we may have the release date for the next game. An Amazon posting for The Art of Mass Effect: Andromeda is said to be released simultaneously with the game— if that is true, we will see Mass Effect: Andromeda on March 21, 2017.
At the time of this posting there has not been a change of release date for the Art Book or a change to the claim of simultaneous release. So, if the Dark Horse Comics’ Art Book release is in fact to be released March 21, that is when the game will be hitting store shelves.
Mass Effect: Andromeda is said to be the first installment in the series outside of Commander Shepard’s story arc. It will feature a brand new story with an entirely new cast of characters. The first three were well received and commercially successful, published by Electronic Arts, the franchise does an admirable job blending third person shooting mechanics with action role-playing.
