Batman versus Bourne just might be a better match up than Batman versus Superman.
[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]t seems that Matt Damon believes his Jason Bourne character would beat Bruce Wayne in a one-on-one match up. E! News asked Matt Damon at the Toronto Film Festival if his ex-CIA character would be able to take down Batman, played by his good friend Ben Afflack. Matt Damon responded with:
“Jason Bourne would kick the s–t out of Batman — absolutely! Batman’s gotta take on Superman first. If he could beat him then maybe he could take on Jason Bourne.”
We’ll probably never see this fight take place, but it’s definitely an interesting subject to ponder. An ex-CIA agent who obviously can take down multiple people on his own, against a multi-billionaire who trained with a bunch of fanatic assassins. That definitely would be an intense fight, but I’ll leave you to decide who the victor would be.
Right now, Matt Damon is in the midst of filming his fourth Jason Bourne movie. The film is being directed by Paul Greengrass with Julia Stiles returning to either work alongside Matt Damon, or in the background. Alicia Vikander, who starred in the film The Danish Girl, will also being starring in the fifth Jason Bourne movie too. The real question that we all have for Matt is whether or not he would be like to portray a superhero too.
“I think they’re kind of out of superheroes,” Matt Damon said. “Ben’s going to be like the sixth or seventh Batman, so I don’t think there’s really any left. So I’m good. Jason Bourne is my superhero.”
Okay, okay. We get it Matt Damon is making some playful jabs at his friend Ben Affleck, but it is possible that Matt Damon is a little bit jealous because of the recent media hype surrounding Ben Affleck’s upcoming movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. After all, nearly everyone is a part of some sort of comic book universe now. Maybe its time Matt Damon joined one as well?
