Lethal Weapon 5 in Talks with Gibson and Glover; Both on Board to Return

The dynamic duo could be back for one more run as partners!

[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]t’s been a while since we’ve seen Roger Murtaugh and Martin Riggs roaming the streets looking for criminals. Although the Lethal Weapon TV show has been successful, it looks like we may get to see the original duo back in action again in the near future!

Mel Gibson and Danny Glover have discussed a possible Lethal Weapon 5 movie with director Richard Donner to get the original cast back. One of the most memorable quotes from this movie series is Murtaugh saying “I’m too old for this shit.” This may be true with Glover being 71 years old and Gibson not far behind at 61 years old.

If there is another movie to be added to this franchise, don’t be surprised if this quote finds it’s way back into the script as it would turn into a literal joke at this point. Their introduction to each other wasn’t pretty, but I’d say it turned out pretty good for the duo!

The last time Gibson and Glover starred as Murtaugh and Riggs was in Lethal Weapon 4 in 1998! The franchise started with Lethal Weapon in 1987!
