Here’s what we know so far about the 721st Pokémon.
Nintendo and the Pokémon Company have officially revealed the latest Pokémon, Volcanion.

Volcanion has the distinction of being the first ever dual Fire and Water type Pokémon, as well as being the only one that can use the move Steam Eruption, a water type damage-dealing attack that may leave opponents burned.
The Steam Pokémon is also the third mythical legendary Pokémon of the Kalos region, following Diancie and Hoopa. This means Volcanion can only be obtained though a specific event outside of your copy of Pokémon X/Y or ORAS.
For example, Diancie was available as a download code from Gamestop, and Hoopa is currently available to download at participating McDonald’s.
No details of how Volcanion’s distribution will work have been released yet, but we’ll let you know when they are.
Volcanion will be available to download for Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, and Alpha Sapphire on the 3DS.
